• The sidebar navigation is a file within every section.
• The sidebar navigation can be enabled and disabled from the page’s properties menu, and the sidebar section itself must be turned on for the sidebar navigation to appear.
• The sidebar navigation’s top link is a link back to the section’s home (index) page by default and cannot be removed.
• The link text for this link is determined by the section's name, which is determined by the section’s title when created.
• This can be changed, but you must contact a member of the web team to do so.
• Links within the sidebar navigation can lead to pages outside the section; however, it’s not recommended.
• If you link to another section’s index page within the section and that section has a sidebar navigation file enabled, the sidebar navigation from that section will also be added, creating a submenu within the sidebar navigation.
